Sewing and Embroidery
Machine Training

From basic operation and maintenance to embroidery and connectivity, the series of five Machine Training classes is designed to teach you, the new owner, about the features and capabilities of your Husqvarna Viking or Huskystar by Husqvarna Viking sewing machine. While some of the classes do not apply to all models, everyone is welcome to attend all five sessions.

  • Session 1 covers the basic operation and maintenance of your sewing machine.
  • Session 2 goes a bit beyond the basics into creative sewing techniques.
  • Session 3 covers decorative sewing.
  • Session 4 is all about the embroidery functions of your machine.
  • Session 5 covers connectivity and other exclusive features of your Designer SE.

Machine Training classes are free with the purchase of your machine from Luella’s Quilt Basket. If you purchased your machine elsewhere, there is a charge of $75 per session. Ask any Basket Lady which classes apply to your machine.

All Machine Training classes are on Mondays from 2:00 pm—4:30 pm or 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Series 1: Apr 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12
Series 2: May 19, June 2, 9, 23, 30

Serger Training

In Serger Training you will learn the features and capabilities of your new Husqvarna Viking serger. This two session series of classes will take you from basic operation and maintenance through flat-locking, chain stitching and cover stitch.

  • Session 1 is an introduction to the basic operation of any of the Husqvarna Viking sergers.
  • Session 2 explores more operations and accessories on the Husqvarna Viking 936 sergers.

The Serger Training classes are free with the purchase of your serger from Luella’s Quilt Basket. If you purchased your serger elsewhere, there is a charge of $75 per session. Ask any Basket Lady which classes apply to your serger.

All Serger Classes are from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Our training classes are free with the purchase of your Husqvarna Viking sewing machine, serger or software from Luella’s Quilt Basket. We understand that occasionally someone who has purchased their machine or software elsewhere would like to take our training classes. *We charge a nominal fee as shown for training classes in such cases.
• Prerequisite for all software classes: familiarity with WINDOWS file management.
• We can accommodate some students who do not bring their own computers to software classes. We have a limited number of computers available for students who cannot bring their own computer. If we have more students than available computers, students can share computers.
All Husqvarna Viking Training classes meet 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Classes are small so sign up early! We require pre-payment for all class registrations. A space will not be reserved until payment is received. Cancellations must be made at least 5 days before the first meeting of class to receive a refund. Classes not having minimum paid registration 5 days before the first meeting will be canceled. Refunds or store credits will be made if the class is canceled.
