Fun with Feet
Join us for this lecture/demo where we will explore all the fabulous feet, tools and notions that are currently available. Learn what that foot tucked away in your drawer does. How that tool that “seemed like such a good idea at the time” works and lots of techniques and hints to make your sewing faster, easier and more fun! (Some of the feet may be Husqvarna Viking brand specific, but the techniques are general and owners of all brands of sewing machines are welcome.)
This is an on-going workshop that you can join at anytime. We will pro-rate the quarterly fee if you join mid-quarter.

We meet every other month. Come to the meeting
and receive a free pattern that uses 2 ½”
strips. If you would like to, you can purchase a
strip bundle that was specially chosen for that
month’s pattern.
Strip bundles are available on a first-come basis and are discounted
if paid for at least 2 weeks before the meeting. Leftover strip bundles
(if there are any) will be available at the meeting.
Come to whichever meetings fit into your schedule or interests, but
you must sign up in advance to guarantee pattern availability.
The fine print: You must attend the Strip Club meeting to receive
your free pattern, but you may purchase the pattern for $5 if you are
unable to attend, subject to availability. There is no membership fee
for Luella’s Strip Club and no long-term commitment. Come to
whichever meetings fit into your schedule or interests, but you must
sign up in advance to guarantee pattern or fabric availability. |

Prepare to get fit(ted). If you have always
wanted to make garments for
yourself, but were not happy with the fit
you got from the patterns that are available,
this is the class for you. Christina
will guide you in learning to handle
your unique fitting challenges. Learn to
adjust any shirt pattern to fit YOUR
own body type. Then as you make up
your camp shirt, you will learn to make
a pocket, collar and set-in sleeve. You
will also learn the basics so you will
know when to use seam finishing and
under-stitching, which seams should be ¼”, P” or ½”, etc. This class will give
you the skills you need to branch out
and create something uniquely yours. |
